Eduardo Villamor studies link between obesity in early pregnancy and child’s risk of epilepsy

Eduardo Villamor, professor of epidemiology and research associate professor at CHGD is cited in HealthDay’s article “Obesity in Early Pregnancy May Raise Child’s Risk of Epilepsy.” The heavier the mom, the greater the odds of the seizure disorder, study suggests. “This means more severe grades of obesity correspond to increasingly higher risk,” said study co-author Dr. Eduardo Villamor. He’s a professor of epidemiology with the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
