CHGD 2017 Winter Seminar Series “The First 1,000 Days,” co-sponsored by the Department of Psychology at Eastern Michigan University, features Dr. Lauren Emberson, Princeton University, on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Dr. Emberson’s presentation is entitled “Using fNIRS to Shine Light on the Role of Experience in Infant Perceptual Development.”
Lauren Emberson received her PhD in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Cornell University in 2012. Then, she took a postdoctoral position with Dr. Richard Aslin at the University of Rochester. In 2015, she started a faculty position at Princeton University and founded the Princeton Baby Lab. She uses neuroimaging to uncover how experience shapes the developing brain.
