Supplemental Support

The Center for Human Growth and Development (CHGD) provides free, limited supplemental support for administrative research tasks to help members achieve maximum productivity. With over 20 years of administrative research experience, CHGD Administrative Assistant Senior, Sheba Shakir, offers valuable knowledge regarding preparation of text and figures for presentations, manuscripts and grants.

This includes:

    • Assistance with general formatting and layout of text, figures and tables
    • Formatting according to journal style (APA and Medical journal references)
    • Bibliography assistance (using Endnote)
    • Literature searches
    • In-text reference scans in final editing
    • Image searches

Additionally, Ms. Shakir can assist with publication compliance for NIH.

If there is a related activity that you would like assistance with but it does not fall in list of services provided, please email chgd-supplemental-support@umich.edu to see if your request can be accommodated.

Please note that CHGD does not provide pre or post-award grant administration.

How to get started
Simply complete the CHGD Supplemental Support Services Intake Form AT LEAST 10 business days before your revised materials are needed.

Who can use this service?
This service is open to CHGD members and their trainees.

How often can I use this service?
Each CHGD member is eligible for up to 4 hours of supplemental support services per calendar year for themselves and/or their trainees. Additional hours are available as a fee for service.

What is the timeline for submitting and receiving completed documents?
Projects submitted to this service are completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Ten business days are required from the scheduled start date for CHGD supplemental support services.
