Pamela Davis-Kean, Ph.D.

Dr. Davis-Kean's research focuses on the influence of SES on the construction of home environments; the importance of looking at race and culture when understanding families and child development; the role that families, schools, and significant figures play (multi-context) in the development of children; the development of self-esteem across the lifespan; and gender and math achievement. Davis-Kean also has expertise in methodology and statistics primarily focusing on psychometric properties of questionnaires and large-scale data collection of data on families and children. Davis-Kean is the Director of the Center for the Analyses of Pathways from Childhood to Adulthood (CAPCA) that examines important developmental questions by replicating analyses across multiple developmental datasets both in the US and abroad.
