Fiona Miller, Ph.D.

Assistant Research Scientist, CHGD;
Research Fellow, Autism and Communication Disorders Center (UMACC)

Fiona Miller is a clinical psychologist whose clinical and research interests have focused on parenting children with mental health issues. She is a co-principal investigator of a study examining the implementation in a high-risk community setting of an evidence-based intervention program for parents of children who have disruptive behavior problems. The particular focus is on whether treatment efficacy transfers to a non-clinic setting. She has also conducted research on parenting and child disturbance in a population study using the Canadian National Longitudinal Survey of Children and Youth (NLSCY). In addition to her CHGD appointment, she holds a clinical appointment in the University of Michigan Autism and Communication Disorders Center (UMACC), where she is initiating research on the challenges faced by parents of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
