Katherine Rosenblum is a clinical developmental psychologist whose current research focuses on parent mental health, parenting behavior, and early childhood emotional development. She is currently a lead co-investigator on an NIMH-funded randomized controlled trial for postpartum depressed mothers and their infants, and collaborates on a number of other research studies examining the effects of maternal psychiatric illness on postpartum adjustment and child development. In addition, she co-directs a study of internationally adoptive parents and their children. Across these studies Dr. Rosenblum is particularly interested in identifying processes related to how parents internally represent their relationships with their children, and how these parental meaning-making processes impact emerging child self-regulation in a variety of domains. Dr. Rosenblum was recently recognized by Zero to Three, the National Center for Infant Programs, with a Solnit Leaders for the 21st Century Fellowship. |
