CHGD Research Professor Pamela Davis-Kean gave the keynote address “Scientific Integrity and Developmental Science: Increasing the Power of our Science” at the 2016 Developmental Methods Conference in Whitefish, Montana, on September 22, 2016.

CHGD Research Professor Pamela Davis-Kean will chair the Economic and Social Research Council Longitudinal Studies Review 2017. The review will explore the studies’ continued and future scientific relevance, sustainability and contribution to the wide portfolio of data and longitudinal research resources in the UK and internationally.

Former CHGD Postdoctoral Research Fellow Sarah Domoff started her new position of Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Central Michigan University in fall 2016.

CHGD Research Professor Richard Gonzalez was appointed the Amos N. Tversky Collegiate Professor of Psychology and Statistics, LSA, effective September 1, 2016.

Former CHGD Postdoctoral Research Fellow Lenwood Hayman, Assistant Professor in Public Health & Health Sciences, U-M-Flint, received a MICHR Health Research Studies pilot grant for his study “Stress and Coping in Adult Black Men: The Flint Man Up Man Down Study.”

CHGD Research Professor Timothy R.B. Johnson was elected to the University Musical Society Board of Directors for a four-year term beginning in September 2016.

CHGD Research Assistant Professor Andrew Jones was appointed the John G. Searle Assistant Professor of Nutritional Sciences, School of Public Health, effective September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2019.

CHGD Research Professor, Henry Wellman received the 2017 Eleanor Maccoby Book Award for the American Psychological Association’s Division 7 (Developmental Psychology) for his book Making Minds.

CHGD Research Assistant Professor, Alex DaSilva and his work with the CHGD fNIRS Laboratory and the Headache and Orofacial Pain Effort (HOPE) Lab are featured in this promo video. The full video has aired on WXYZ-TV (10/16) and FOX Sports Detroit (10/17) and will air on the jumbotrons at the UM-Illinois game on October 22nd (40 minutes prior to kickoff).
