Dr. Barb Felt is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician whose research interests bridge basic, translational and clinical areas.  Her primary research focus has been to characterize the effects of iron deficiency, with or without anemia, during early brain development on longer term brain and functional behavioral outcomes.  She also works with CHGD colleagues to understand the longer term effects of iron deficiency during infancy in humans.  Clinical research in sleep also explores the role of iron deficiency in young children.
